Dear Ancestor is a narrative-driven experience that places players in the role of the ancestors, watching over generations of descendants from beyond the physical world. Rooted in Vietnamese spiritual culture and the long-standing tradition of ancestor veneration, the game explores the invisible yet powerful bond between the living and the dead.
From the family altar, players observe the daily lives, struggles, and moral decisions of their descendants. As an ancestor, you are not an all-powerful ruler, but a guiding presence. You may choose to grant blessings or withhold them, based on how your descendants act, the values they uphold, and the respect they show toward their lineage and traditions.
The game also have English and Vietnamese Language.
Thưa Gia Tiênlà một trải nghiệm tự sự ngắn, nơi bạn vào vai linh hồn tổ tiên đang lặng lẽ dõi theo con cháu từ cõi vô hình. Lấy cảm hứng từ văn hóa tâm linh Việt Nam và tục thờ cúng tổ tiên, trò chơi kể về sợi dây gắn kết âm thầm nhưng bền chặt giữa người sống và người đã khuất.
Từ bàn thờ gia đình, bạn quan sát những khoảnh khắc đời thường, những lựa chọn đúng–sai và các bước ngoặt quan trọng trong cuộc sống của con cháu. Bạn không điều khiển họ trực tiếp, cũng không phải đấng toàn năng. Bạn chỉ có thể ban phước hoặc im lặng.
Mỗi quyết định bạn đưa ra sẽ ảnh hưởng đến tính cách, số phận của con cháu và tương lai của cả dòng họ.
Game còn có ngôn ngữ Tiếng Việt và Tiếng Anh.
